Indicators in the Municipalities

An investigation of the possibility for municipal disability councils to create change.

This report seeks to investigate whether municipal indicators can be a useful tool for the disability councils.
The institute has conducted a questionnaire survey that was sent to all 993 council members in the 98 municipal disability councils. The purpose of the study was to create insight into the work of the councils in practice. Their potential for influence, their use of data and statistical indicators as well as their knowledge and use of the UN Disability Convention have been looked at.

97 of the 98 disability councils are represented in the study, and 310 people have answered the questionnaire. The study is thus the most extensive in the field to date.
