Facts: Specially vulnerable groups during COVID-19 in Greenland

The rights of some groups are particularly challenged during the pandemic. This also applies in Greenland. Get an overview of the situation here.

The COVID-19 pandemic has in a short time changed the daily lives of large parts of the world's population, but all citizens are still protected by the human rights. This also applies to Greenland.

However, a pandemic is such an exceptional situation that it is possible for states to curtail the rights of citizens to a greater extent than usual.

At the same time, the increased time in the home can affect aspects of everyday life that can have consequences for the rights of the Greenlandic citizens. The rights of some groups are particularly challenged. This applies to elderly people, homeless people and people with disabilities.
