The work and challenges of the integration councils

On November 21, 2017, there were elections to the municipal councils throughout the country. This means that the newly constituted boards have the opportunity to establish integration councils in their respective municipalities, while the current integration council can extend their mandate for the next four years. The Institute for Human Rights has therefore found it relevant to carry out a closer examination of the existing integration council's work and challenges, so that the municipal councils can make a decision on an informed basis.
