Call for masters in democratic governance in the Middle East and North Africa

The Danish Institute for Human Rights has since 2014 supported the Master in Democratic Governance in the Middle East and North Africa. Prospective students can now apply.

The Master in democratic governance in the Middle East and North Africais a unique programme designed to meet the needs of students, professionals and experts who want to specialise in the field of democratic governance and human rights with a focus on the Arab world, but also gain the practical experience needed to build or improve their career/research activities.

"Thisas an opportunity foryoung people to gaininsight of therule of law, questions of democracy and human rights in a time where the promotion of security or migration controlcan have adirect effect on human rights and their defence," Niklas Kabel Pedersen, manager for the Danish Institute for Human Rights' MENA programme, explains.

The master's programme is now accepting applicants for the second year and the Danish Institute looks forward to welcoming the new students.

"We hope to improve on last year's experience and further intercultural exchange," Niklas Kabel Pedersen ends.
