Human Rights institutions urge for better conditions for garment workers

International Human Rights institutions urge for immediate action on poor working conditions in the garment industry.

On Thursday the 20th of June 2013, the United Nations Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises organised a panel discussion on managing human rights risks in the garment sector global supply chain.

The European Group of National Human Rights Institutions, Canadian Human Rights Commission, Philippines Commission on Human Rights and Human Rights Commission of Korea issued a statement to the panel discussion.
