Freedom of religion and belief at Danish asylum centers

The Danish state is responsible for ensuring citizens of Denmark the right to freedom of religion and belief - also in asylum centers.

In practice, asylum seekers' freedom og religious and belief is challenged by a number of circumstances. For example, they rarely have any knowledge of the social, political and legal context in which they are located, they do not know the language, and they rarely know religious communities they can be a part of.

This report examines these religious-related issues and challenges at Danish asylum centers.
