To treat with force?

Somatic disease in treatment-resistant persons with permanent incompetence.

Either they do not receive treatment for their illness or the treatment is carried out with force that lacks legal basis.

It is the reality for some permanently incapacitated persons with somatic disease that rejects treatment. The Department of Equal Treatment focuses on Denmark's legal obligations to ensure the treatment of permanent disability with somatic disease. The report also looks at how the commitments are implemented in practice.

Finally, the report contains a number of recommendations on how Denmark can promote human rights for this group of patients.

This report is in Danish but contains an English summary on page 8.
