Council of Europe Consultation on Human Rights for Internet Users

The Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR) is currently involved in the Council of Europe's work to develop a Guide on Human Rights for Internet Users.

The idea of the work is to create a simple explanation for users about how their human rights apply to the internet, and what remedies are available to them.

The draft version of the Guide is now available online, and open for comments and consultations until November 15.

The plan is to have the Guide adopted by the Committee of Ministers in early 2014, followed by national dissemination/awareness raising initiatives in order to make it a living tool.
