The Library is arguably the foremost Danish collection within the fields of international relations, human rights, and development studies. It numbers more than 100,000 books and reports, and over 1,000 journal and yearbook titles. It represents the merger of four previously independent libraries, as well as the collections of the Foreign Ministry libraries.

The library is open to the general public all weekdays, and staff are on hand to help visitors identify relevant material in the collection as well as on the internet.
