Denmark

The Danish Institute for Human Rights is an independent National Human Rights Institution. Our work is based on international human rights and the liberties guaranteed by the Danish Constitution.

We promote research and information on human rights and contribute to the implementation of human rights in Denmark. One of our main tasks is to promote the equal treatment of all persons without discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin.

Each year, in December, we publish an annual report entitled Human Rights in Denmark. The report is a review of legislation, decisions, opinions and government initiatives within the field of human rights in Denmark. In addition, we regularly publish reports on issues relating to specific human rights and equal treatment.
