Rule of Law Department

The Department strives to ensure that central structures in society such as the legislative framework, the administrative practices of the executive, and the parliamentary and judicial control of the executive both reflect and are in accordance with human rights. We also offer human rights training to different sectors of society such as the justice system, local government and the military.

Our aim is to contribute to the capacity of selected parliaments, ministries and institutions to carry out strategic planning, law reform, institutional reform and implementation, all based on the rule of law, human rights, transparency and principles of accountability
